Breakfast WafflesThis super simple kid breakfast recipe can be made ahead, frozen, and popped in toaster, for a quick breakfast for the kids anyday! Made with the very convenient waffle maker, they can be made with chocolate chips, fruit, or even whole wheat flour. So easy kids can even help make this easy breakfast recipe!

Ingredients To Make Make Ahead Waffles For Kids Recipe:
2cups cups(500 mL) all-purpose flour
1/4cup cup(50 mL) granulated sugar 2tsp tsp(10 mL) baking powder
1/2tsp tsp(2 mL) baking soda
1/4tsp tsp(1 mL) salt
2egg
2cups cups(500 mL) buttermilk
1/4cup cup(50 mL) butter, melted
1/3cup cup(75 mL)mini chocolate chips
2tbsp tbsp(25 mL) vegetable oil
Directions To Make Make Ahead Waffles For Kids Recipe:
1. In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

2. In small bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk and butter; pour over flour mixture, sprinkle with chocolate chips and stir just until combined.

3. Heat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions. For each waffle, brush iron lightly with some of the oil; pour in 1/2 cup (125 mL) batter, spreading to edges. Close lid and cook for 4 to 6 minutes or until crisp, golden and steam stops. (Make-ahead: Let cool. Wrap individually and freeze in airtight container for up to 1 month. Reheat in toaster.)
